Saturday 1st August & Sunday 2nd August – Playful Performance

Playful Performance is a workshop for performers who want to reconnect with their sense of play and bring greater spontaneity, presence, and connection into their work.

Whether you are wanting to re-find the joy in performance, looking to bring new skills to your creative process, or wanting to learn how clown can open up possibilities in your work, this workshop offers space and time to step away from “getting it right” and “being good” and into work that is centred on being present, responsive, and human.

Rooted in principles drawn from clowning and physical performance, this session invites you to explore how play can deepen your connection to yourself, your collaborators, and your audience. The workshop is lead by Charlie Hammond and delivered in partnership with Greentop Circus Centre.

Date: Saturday 1st August & Sunday 2nd August 2026

Time: 10am – 5.30pm with an hour break for lunch.

Venue: Greentop Circus, St Thomas Building 74 Holywell Road Sheffield S4 8AS

Cost: £90 – £130 dependent on income/means.
